I have been doing woodworking for the last 17 years, years ago at about the turn of the century my great grandfather was a furniture maker which we still have and use many of his pieces today, maybe i have inherited some of my skills from him.
I do a full range of woodworking ranging from cabinets, chess sets, furniture, and display cases. I get a lot of jobs doing custom picture frames for people at a reasonable price. My signature wood is Peruvian walnut.
On my chaboo i chose to widen the handle with a straight edge and router, i used Peruvian walnut to trim it out on the bottom and edges, also i used Peruvian walnut in the center but i inlayed it first with some lace wood and then sprayed with a lacquer finish.
