I combined my love for skateboarding with my love for jewelry and created Maple XO. I find junked skateboards and make jewelry and fashion accessories out of them- giving them new life!

When Ken approached me about taking part in Project Chaboo I thought the idea was really cool but I hesitated from lack of experience in making furniture. I gave it a shot though and love the result. I took skateboard parts and (with some help) used a drum sander to shape them to fit as the inserts. I like how on the end you can see that the laminations are curved. It was a difficult experience for me technically because I usually free form my jewelry. It was still fun though- and I hope you enjoy my skateboard chaboo!
