text, it rolls from my mind to the paper
quickly, gathered from words on the radio
or conversations in my head or in the room.
similarly intricate color combinations spill from my soul,
from my perspective of this world we live in.
i paint fast. i doodle. i paint stream of consciously.
there are no mistakes for me in painting, one stroke leads to another.
What an awesome opportunity! Its always fun to paint on a new surface, be it a 25 foot cement wall, a metal newspaper bin, a fabric chair or a bamboo chaboo! I was so lucky I got to do two in fact! One is delicate floral line drawing on top of splashes of purple that is a certain special vein of my work which expresses softness and sensitivity. The other one is playful, bright and was completed as a live painting on the day the chaboo was due. Look at the side and you can see a portrait of my little friend Gabriel, the charming son of George Ramos (another chaboo artist) who was present that day. Overall a fun project inspired by Ken Tomita, an enthusiastic, talented artist and designer
