Aaron + Ayumi Piland are the fantastical magical duo known as APAK. We are a childlike husband and wife collaborative art group who live among the furry conifer giants in a little cottage on the outskirts of Portland, Oregon.

We create artwork together as a way exploring the beauty, mystery, and magic of life as well as expressing their love for life and each other. We sat on the floor in our living room and painted our Chaboo as if it were our own coffee table. We often had to remind ourselves not to set our coffee cups down on it! The title of our Chaboo is “Coming Home”. We painted it during the Christmas season, inspired by all the people traveling across the country to see their families. Home is a precious place.
